Looks to me that the new email items are updated probably once in 15-20 minutes. My question to you is how can i possibly make Outlook to automatically update its Inbox folder more often, if possible as often as Gmail does. How to change send and receive frequency in Outlook® 2010:. Launch the Outlook® 2010 application. Switch to the “Send / Receive” tab in the main. Click on the “Send / Receive Groups” button in the “Send & Receive“ section.
Select “Define Send / Receive Groups“ option. Now, select the group you want to change for email time frequency or select “All Accounts“ to change the period for all. Change the minutes for “Schedule an automatic send / receive every X minutes“. Click on the “Close“ button.
